Akaliko skin clinic has a new laser technology called SHR in which works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicles through melanin (colour of root), and prevents re-growth, while avoiding injury to the surrounding tissue. A high repetition rate of short pulses are delivered deep into the dermis, achieving high average power and therapeutically effective heat buildup, with virtually no pain. The sweeping In-motion technique of moving the applicator repeatedly over the treatment area ensures full coverage while ICETM tech cools the skin surface- preventing superficial burns and allowing for virtually pain-free, yet highly effective hair removal. Clients can achieve anywhere from 80% to 90% hair reduction. 6 to 10 treatments is required to provide permanent hair reduction, however these results will be influenced by certain conditions such as skin tone, hair colour/ thickness and hormones.
